From noon to 1:15 RawTools and Friends and The Colorado Coalition will maintain a presence at the Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum to commemorate the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima, August 6, 1945 (8:15 AM) by the United States Army Airforce B-29 Enola Gay. It flattened the city immediately killing tens of thousands of civilians (80,000+) and irradiating thousands more who died over many years from Leukemia. The bombing was unnecessary to ending the Japanese War since they were already seeking to surrender. Most evidence points to this horrible event as a means of sending a message by the US to the USSR that they had better “behave” in Europe following the war. (See Gar Alperovitz, “The Decision to Drop the Atomic Bomb”)
In addition you are invited to the bannering on August 2 at the North Gate of Peterson AFB 7:30 AM on August 2 and at Airport and Powers on Nagasaki Day, August 9 from 4:30 to 5:15
