Coloradans to Witness to Missile Silos and threat they pose. To remember and honor those Plowshares people and others who have witnessed to the evil of these nuclear weapons on planet earth for large portions of their lives. This is the first year anniversary of the passing of Mary Casper who helped organize this event over many years past. Colorado is home to 49 nuclear armed missiles on hair trigger alert, each one bearing the power of 20-30 Hiroshima bombs.

Where Missile Silo N-8, 8.8 miles west of New Raymer, Colorado, measured from the intersection of CO-14 and CR-129. The location is .15 miles south of CO-14 on CR 113.
What is happening there? We will share reflections and update information, sing a few songs and meditate on the state of the nuclear weapons complex. Participants, if the choose could spend the rest of the afternoon visiting other sites including the N flight launch center, viewing the Pawnee National Grasslands, viewing the oil and gas Fracking complex, before returning home.
Carpools will be leaving from Denver, and Colorado Springs arriving at the MacDonalds in Fort Collins around 11 AM (at the junction of CR-129 and I-76). They will proceed from there for the site leaving around 12:15 PM. Boulder folks usually take the northern route up I-25 and then going east on CO-14 ot CR-113.
