Are you aware that the US and the republic of Korea are still at war with PRK (People’s republic of North Korea) and that there is only a 65 year armistice in place? Physician for Social Responsibility shares an effort to change that by 33 US Organizatons.
The focus of negotiations between North Korea and the US has been the ending of the PRK nuclear weapons and delivery systems (ICBM’s) and now under Trump an effort to get ROK (South Korea) to pay for the large US force stationed there. Certainly non-proliferation efforts re the PRK are good just as the Iranian efforts were good though Trump unwisely withdrew from them. But keeping this focus does not lead to a productive way forward towards peace on the Korean peninsula but only to maintain a fear based status quo. Check out the list of signatories.
