The Colorado Coalition notes the passing of Ann White who was an active member of The Colorado Coalition for decades. Ann was among the demonstrators at the Rocky flats Nuclear Weapons Facility in the 1990’s. Both she and her recently deceased husband, Denver architect Ed White were long time members of the Coalition Board of Directors. She served on the committee, “Grandmothers for a Nuclear-Free World” at the First Universalist Church of Englewood and held before the congregation the work of the Coalition, succeeding in soliticiting donations to our work each year. Ann was a prolific modernist artist whose work is part of the permanent collection at the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art in Denver. She studied under the renowned Mexican artist Diego Rivera. She taught art in Denver Public Schools. We miss her but celebrate her work in the cause of Peace.
