Please note the addendum to instructions in bold print below.
On October 12, 2019 members and friends of The Colorado Coalition for the Prevention of Nuclear War will hold a Witness for the Elimination of Nuclear Weapons and support for the United Nations Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty. This treaty would make illegal the construction and possession of nuclear weapons by any State on our Planet.
We will carpool from Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs to N-1, a launch control center for ten nuclear armed missiles in NE Colorado, and hold a prayer service at 1 PM petitioning that the US change its policy of rejection of this Treaty and ratify it.This treaty would make illegal the construction and possession of nuclear weapons by any State on our Planet.
We will carpool from Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs to N-1, a launch control center for ten nuclear armed missiles in NE Colorado, and hold a prayer service at 1 PM petitioning that the US change its policy of rejection of this Treaty and ratify it. Note: this will be very different from our many trips to N-8 where we now believe the bomb has been removed. N-1 has no bomb. It has personnel. Very important to take no photos, to park only along the road, not in the parking lot; and to be there in the spirit of peace and the spiritual aspects of what we are doing and in memory of those who have gone on. I am thinking in particular of Ken Seaman, Ros Goldfield, Wayne and Judy Snyder and Mary Casper, but there are many more dear activists. Bring them in your hearts.
We call on all Peace and Justice groups to join us.
